The Decorah Fire Department responded to a report of a semi-tractor on fire around 6:30 Sunday night.
The semi was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the Daryl Seegmiller home at 3121 Locust Road in Decorah. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and keep it from spreading to the attached trailer. High winds were a factor in the rapid progression of the fire.
No injuries were reported. The vehicle was considered a total loss. The origin of the fire appears to be in the engine compartment. Decorah firefighters spent a little over an hour at the scene.
