Three teenagers face charges while 30 others have been issued citations in the wake of an underage drinking party raided by police last Friday.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the beer party on 290th Street just west of 253rd Avenue shortly before midnight on April 6th.
18-year-old Edward Vermace of Decorah was charged with Operating While Intoxicated. 19-year-old Devin Bruening of Decorah was charged with Reckless Driving and with Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles. 16-year-old Connor Whalen of Decorah was charged with Violation of a School Driving Permit.
14 teenagers were referred to juvenile authorities for possession of alcohol under the legal drinking age. They included Karissa Fritz of Elma, Desiree Benda of Decorah and Aliesha Hovey of Lime Springs--all 15 years old; Madison Schweinefus, Dirk Clark, Kellan O'Shea and Jared Blodgett--all 16 year olds from Decorah; and Decorah residents Mitchell Bruns and Cody Gillmeister, Fort Atkinson resident Alexandria Glass, Ridgeway resident Marybeth Henry, Lime Springs resident Shelby Mahr and Cresco residents Sara Ollendieck and Brandy Gammon--all 17 years old.
16 teenagers were issued citations for Possession of Alcohol Under the Legal Age. They were 18-year-olds Cody Kriener, Mitchell McIntyre, Kerry Kessler, Nathan Johnson and Abby Robson--all of Cresco--Breanna Register from Nevada; Benjamin Miller of Postville and Tina Pinter of Fort Atkinson. 19-year-olds issued citations were Taylor Melver, Joshua Greenslade and David Wildman of Cresco, Dallas Puffer of Decorah and Kelly Politowitz of Waukon. Three 20-year-olds were issued citations: Tanner Munkel, Jordan Greenslade and Shelby Henry of Cresco.
