Two Decorah residents were among the eleven NICC students who placed nationally in competition at the National Postsecondary Agriculture Student Conference.
Decorah resident Kaitlyn Peterson was one of four members of an NICC Dairy Specialist Career contest team that finished second nationally. Other team members were Devon Chrystal of Delhi, Lucas Schmitt of Hawkeye and Andrew Ferden of Utica, Minnesota. A second NICC team finished seventh nationally.
Colter Thomas of Decorah was part of a two-person team, along with Trevor Hanson of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, which placed third nationally in the Ag Machinery Service Technician competition. A second NICC team placed fourth.
