Construction at NICC Calmar campus' Wilder Center will cost $3.1 million

The Board of Trustees of Northeast Iowa Community College has accepted bids on the remodeling of the Wilder Center on the NICC Calmar campus.

Trustees awarded the general construction bid for the project to David Finholt Construction of Decorah; the mechanical construction bid to Advantage Sheet Metal of Dubuque; the electrical contract to Decorah Electric and and the roofing contract to Service Roofing of Waterloo.  The bids from the four contractors totaled $3,158,015.

Renovations to the Wilder Center will offer training space for business and industry, including video conferencing, computer labs and conference space. Renovations will begin in April, with construction expected to be completed by January of 2013.
