The North Winneshiek Education and the North Winneshiek School Board have reached a tentative agreement on a 2012-2013 contract.
The agreement will become final if the North Winneshiek Education Association approves it at their next scheduled meeting and the North Winneshiek Community School Board approves it at the April 10th regular school board meeting.
The agreement calls for a $425 base salary schedule increase. That will bring the base salary to $29,675. The salary raise calculates to a 3.44 percent increase. This includes a 0.5 percent increase in the multiplier used to figure salaries for Bachelor's+30, Master's, and Master's+10 lanes in an effort to balance them.
The district will provide teachers with a $1,000 deductible health insurance plan which includes office and drug co-pays. Teachers will also continue to receive single dental insurance, life insurance, accidental death/dismemberment and long term disability at district cost.
