Special Traffic Enforcement Program shows results

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department and the Decorah Police Department have released the results of the Special Traffic Enforcement Program that ran from March 15th through the 18th.

Police say the four-day period resulted in 54 additional traffic citations and warnings.  The figure included three drunk driving arrests, 37 speeding violations, one felony arrest, one canine search and the investigation of six accidents, including one personal injury accident.  Police also rendered assistance to seven motorists.
