Winneshiek Medical Center officials have not yet responded publicly to the series of news stories written by decorahnews.com about the hospital board's actions.  However, hospital officials have sent a memo to hospital employees.

Sources tell decorahnews.com the memo tells employees to ignore decorahnewscom's news stories because decorahnews.com is not a legitimate news organization.  What does the memo base that conclusion on?  It labels decorahnews.com a "blog."

The memo then goes on to tell staff members not to comment when members of the public ask questions about the news stories.  It also says any comments made to the public must be cleared by the hospital's Human Resources department.
