The first of this year's three eggs laid by the Decorah bald eagles should hatch this weekend, according to Raptor Resource Project officials. The first egg was laid February 17th this year.
When the eggs hatch, the chicks will be named D12, D13 and D14. Raptor Resource Project officials say they have picked the names because the "D" stands for "Decorah" and the numbering includes previously hatched eagle chicks.
