Experts say don't plant vegetables or flowers quite yet

Yes, Decorah for five days in a row has set records for high temperatures.  And even with a "cooling trend," temperatures will be in the 70s and 60s this week.

But experts are advising you not to start putting in your garden quite yet.

That's because we are still six weeks away from the AVERAGE date of the last freeze in Decorah.  Says the National Weather Service La Crosse Office, "With the average freeze date well over a month away, planting is not advised."
