Decorah man arrested after leading police on a chase

Decorah Police arrested 50-year-old William Rushing of Decorah on Sunday afternoon for allegedly failing to stop for a police officer.

Police say they tried to stop Rushing for a traffic violation, but Rushing allegedly failed to stop.

He was eventually stopped and taken into custody, charged with eluding police officers, driving while suspended, failure to prove insurance and a seat belt violation.  Rushing was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
