CRP applications now can be filed

Winneshiek County property owners can begin signing up for the General Conservation Reserve Program starting Monday.

Says Winneshiek County Farm Service Agency Executive Director Julie Vulk, "To be eligible for enrollment, along with other eligibility requirements, cropland has to have been planted or considered planted to an agricultural commodity four of the six years from 2002 to 2007."
