Activities include games, crafts and guided exploration hikes that build on children's developing curiosity, imagination and inquisitiveness. Classes explore the natural areas surrounding Luther including Anderson Prairie, Lindeman Pond and Hickory Ridge Woods. The program meets Mondays from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., beginning March 26th.
"Discovery Club" provides outdoor learning experiences for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. The program offers after-school hands-on activities, games and exploration hikes. Students will visit local natural areas to learn about various ecosystems, critters and diverse plant life present here in Decorah. Discovery Club classes are held Mondays from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for third and fourth grade students and Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for kindergarten through second grade students. School pick-up in Decorah is available at John Cline, Carrie Lee and St. Benedicts schools.
