14 Decorah High School students earn AP Scholar recognition

14 Decorah High School students have earned AP Scholar Awards-- the most in Decorah High School history.

The students earned the award  in recognition of their scores on Advanced Placement tests in their subjects.

One Decorah HS student--Bethany Davidson--earned the "AP Scholar with Distinction Award"--the first Decorah High School student ever to win the award.  The award is given to students who receive an average score of 3.5 or greater on all AP Exams and score a 3 (the passing score) on five or more tests.

Two Decorah HS students--Scotty Hendricks and Gabe Smith--qualified for the "AP scholar with Honor Award" by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Eleven Decorah HS students--Ben Bernatz, Evan Blodgett Carolina Deifelt-Streese, Jonathan Knudson, Aaron Kvale and Jay Lee. Also, earning this honor were Cassie Misseldine, Rachel Rattenborg, Matthew Sullivan, Tanner Tjossem, and Paul Vanney--earned the "AP Scholar Award" by completing three or more exams with scores of 3 or higher.
