Old World Inn is getting new owners

The Old World Inn in Spillville has been sold.

Bob Gust says he and Lori Faust plan to reopen the restaurant under a new name: "Speakeasy Inn."  The two are coming to Northeast Iowa from southwest Wisconsin and plan to manage the restaurant themselves.

The restaurant had been closed over the winter by previous owner Rachel Andera.  Gust says he has purchased the building, which includes not only the restaurant but a downstairs bar and upstairs rooms to rent.
