Claiborne Drive is now the City of Decorah's next priority

While City of Decorah officials earlier this winter discussed the need for repairs on Ice Cave Road, the city's Street Committee says it believes Claiborne Drive in front of Decorah High School ought to be the city's next road priority.

The decision comes as the Decorah School District continues to work on an addition and renovation of Decorah High School.  City officials say that means Claiborne Drive--and even State Street--ought to be the next priority for spending road dollars.

Other projects getting consideration from the city are East Main Street and the reconstruction of the wall next to Dry Run Creek near the Decorah Public Library.
