Sheriff's deputies are warning about another scam

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it has received two more reports on scams.

The e-mail scam appears to be from banks about online banking.  The e-mail will state there was some type of access gained to the person's checking account.  But then the e-mail asks people to fill out financial information "so we can cross reference it with the information we already have."

The e-mail, of course, is an attempt to trick people into giving the scammers the financial information they need to take money from the account.
