City officials want to meet with West Broadway neighbors

City of Decorah officials admit there can occasionally be problems with the West Broadway and Mill Street intersection.  They're just not sure a permanent stop sign is the solution to those problems.

Neighbors have complained to city officials about visibility problems at the intersection, as well as speeding traffic coming down the West Broadway hill.

City officials think the visibility problems are largely caused by popular events at First Lutheran Church, so they want to meet with church officials to see if a temporary stop sign can be wheeled out into the intersection to handle traffic on busy days--leaving the intersection without a stop sign the rest of the time.

City officials say they'll hold a future meeting at which both church officials and neighbors are invited to attend.
