State Representative Bob Hager of Dorchester has submitted nomination papers to seek reelection to the Iowa legislature.
While Hager is seeking another term, the district he represents is changing. Due to the 2010 U.S. Census, State Assembly district boundaries have been redrawn and Hager would now represent the newly created District 56, which encompasses Allamakee County and most of Clayton County. Hager's district would no longer include parts of Winneshiek County.
Hager said he maintains his concentration on bringing more jobs to the state: "The best way to put Iowans back to work is by creating a stable environment for Iowa businesses and by keeping control of government spending so private business can flourish."
Hager has lived in Allamakee County all of his 50 years. He was born and raised in Waukon, married his wife, Kristi in 1986 and raised three daughters.
