Yellow ribbons in Decorah to come down this summer

Those yellow ribbons put up in Decorah to honor soldiers serving in the armed forces will start coming down in May.

Veterans representative Jim Creek met Thursday night with the City of Decorah's Street Committee.  Committee members said they had been receiving a lot of questions about the ribbons.  They were not opposed to the yellow ribbons, committee members wanted to point out, but they did have questions about how long the ribbons would remain up.

After a discussion, Creek told the committee that members of the 322nd Engineering Company will return to Decorah in May--and that the ribbons could start coming down after the 322nd soldiers left Decorah.
