City of Decorah officials announced Wednesday that construction work on the Trout Run Trail bridge crossing Highway 9 will resume on Monday.
Work during the first week of activity will involve the partial removal of the Highway 9 median and pile driving in the ditches.
Work during the second week of activity will involve erecting concrete barrier rails and reducing the traffic to one lane in each direction. The traffic lane restriction is necessary to separate traffic from the temporary steel supports and concrete forms used to create the shape of the bridge. This is necessary to avoid possible traffic detours of the site. The lane restrictions will be in effect until through mid-August.
Up to the minute information on lane restrictions and closures may be found on the Iowa DOT website dedicated to statewide construction traffic, http://www.511ia.org/
