Bond set at $50,000 for Postville man accused of sexual abuse

A judge has set bond at $50,000 for a Postville man accused of third degree sexual abuse.

33-year-old Scott Hughes of Postville is accused of entering a house in Postville and forcing a 20-year-old woman to have sex with him.  He also faces a charge of "intent to commit sexual abuse" in a separate incident involving the same woman.

A preliminary hearing on the charges against Hughes has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1st.  The judge in the case has also ordered Hughes to have no contact with the woman who filed the charges against him.
