Monday night was a good night for the Ihde family.
Decorah native Todd Ihde was introduced as the city's new Water Superintendent. Todd spent six years working at the city's Wastewater Treatment Plant before transferring to the Water Department. where he has worked for the past 20 years. He replaces Dave Pahlas, who retired from the position the first of this year.
Meanwhile, Todd's brother, Scott Ihde, was officially given a pay raise by the Decorah City Council. Scott was recently named Parks Superintendent. Under the terms of an agreement approved Monday night, Scott will be paid $41,286 a year now, with an increase to $42,805 a year as of July 1st. Scott Ihde had originally been paid $39,870 a year.
