Stevenson named Decorah Lion of the Year

The Decorah Lions Club has presented Larry Stevenson with the "Decorah Lion of the Year" award.  Stevenson is active in many Lions projects and community events. He has chaired the LIons popcorn committee and is responsible for organizing Lions popcorn sales for Saturday night races, athletic events, Nordic Fest and other community events.

The award was presented at the Lions Club's annual Sweathearts Dinner at Rubaiyat Restaurant.  Lions members serenaded their significant others with their rendition of "Love Makes the World Go Round" led by song master Jim Burns.  After dinner music was provided by "Two Toes and a Thumb", a talented string group of three middle school young women.
