Organizers have announced plans for a benefit on March 24th for former Decorah resident Daryl Bolson, who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to bone cancer.
Daryl is a 1967 graduate of Decorah High School and a 1971 graduate of Luther College. In 1972, Daryl purchased and operates Lansing Feed Service, Inc. and in 1983 moved his family to Lansing, where they have made their home.
Daryl and his wife, Chris (Wohlford), have two children, Brett Bolson and Anna (Dustin) Darling, and two grandsons, Jay and Mason.
The benefit will run from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Kerndt Brothers Community Center in Lansing. It will include a silent auction, bake sale and entertainment. There will also be refreshments, food and a raffle (includes ½ processed beef and etc.) at T.J. Hunter's Banquet Hall with a live auction starting at 5:00 p.m.

All money raised will go toward Daryl's medical bills and living expenses.
