Committee finds several new locations for blue recycling bins

It's looking more likely that the recycling bins located in the 48-hour parking lot across from Decorah City Hall will be getting a new location.

Members of the City of Decorah's Betterment Committee on Monday heard what chairperson Carolyn Corbin called "several viable options."  City officials will check into those options--some of which involve private property--and will report back to a future city council meeting.

Meanwhile, the request to move the recycling bins sparked another discussion of the possibility of curbside recycling pickups in Decorah.  While committee members discussed conducting a feasibility study of the idea, no formal resolution was voted upon.
