Decorah Middle School students qualify for State MathCounts competition

(Participating MathCounts students were Cassie Bjerke, Ashley Darling, Naomi Davidson, Autumn DeLong, Brianna Doyle, Laurel Fadness, Hannah Klotzbach, Andrew Larson, Alexa Lensing, Daria Lundtvedt, Rjis Nesset, Thomas Pecinovsky, Alexis Steinlage, Drew Sullivan, Katelyn Yee, Robert Berger, Brenna Betts, Tino Mtisi, and Spencer Weis

It's on to the State Mathcounts Competition for four Decorah Middle School students.

The team of Brianna Doyle, Andrew Larson, Autumn DeLong and Naomi Davidson took third place in the team round at the recent district MathCounts competition. The top three teams proceed to the state competition that will be held on March 23rd at Drake University in Des Moines.  In addition, Naomi Davidson took 10th place in the individual round.

Over 25 students from St. Benedict's and Decorah Middle School participated at the district competition.
