The remodeling of the city council chambers at Decorah City Hall is now complete. The Decorah City Council met in the chambers Monday night for the first time in two months.
The city council chambers remodeling was part of a larger project of renovations at City Hall. Old carpeting in the City Hall entryway, the City Council room, the Fire Department station and the Parks & Recreation office was ripped out and asbestos was removed before new carpeting and tile was installed.
The remodeling project has an estimated cost of around $40,000.
