Winneshiek County FSA to conduct four-week CRP sign-up in March

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a four-week Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general signup at the Farm Service Agency office in Winneshiek County and others throughout the country.

The sign-up will run from March 12th through April 6th.

Currently about 30 million acres nationwide are enrolled in the CRP.  Contracts on an estimated 6.5 million acres will expire on September 30th of this year.
