NICC Calmar is offering two high school driver education classes, with one of the classes starting Saturday and the second starting in late March.
The class teaches novice drivers the knowledge, driving skills and attitudes necessary to become safe, low-risk, responsible drivers. The class satisfies the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving experience.
Both classes meet from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The first High School Driver Education class (#8861) is offered February 4th through March 4th. The second High School Driver Education class (#8456) is offered March 24th through April 29th (no class April 7th and 8th).
