Hospital officials make public comment about Dan Werner's resignation

Winneshiek Medical Center officials on Wednesday evening made additional public comments about last Wednesday's resignation of Chief Administrative Officer Dan Werner.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Susan Halter said Werner's resignation was voluntary and he left on good terms.

In response to a question by Board of Trustees member Sherry Gribble, Dr. Halter said there was absolutely no truth to the rumor that Werner was escorted out of the hospital building last week.  She says Werner will return to the hospital on Thursday to pick up some items and wrap up a few things.  "We wish him well," she said, stating that Werner said he had other opportunities he would pursue.
