BREAKING NEWS: Winneshiek Medical Center's leader resigns

Winneshiek Medical Center Chief Administrative Officer Dan Werner has announced his resignation, effective immediately.

Werner has led Winneshiek Medical Center for nearly four years.  He was instrumental in the construction of a new dialysis facility at the medical center, the development of a hospitalist program and participation in the Decorah Metronet project.

WMC Senior Director of Clinics and Outreach Dave Rooney has been appointed as the interim Chief Administrative Officer.  The search for Werner's successor will begin immediately.
