Luther College graduate named Cannon Falls elementary teacher of the year

Luther College graduate Megan Zillgitt has been selected by her peers as the Cannon Falls Elementary School Teacher of the Year.

Zillgitt started teaching in the Minnesota community in 2008.

She credits her success to her schooling at Luther, telling the Cannon Falls Beacon: "I was able to sing with a number of different choirs at Luther.  My choir directors, Dr. Tim Peter and Dr. Sandra Peter, were very good role models for me as a music educator.  They both inspired a love for music and demonstrate balance in their lives with work, faith, and family."
