Two Luther seniors receive Fulbright scholarships

Two Luther College seniors have been selected to receive the prestigious Fulbright-Hays scholarship from the United States Department of Education to study in Russia.

Paul Carlin, the son of Daniel and Mary Eileen Carlin of Lawler, is a Russian studies and political science major at Luther. He is a 1996 graduate of New Hampton High School.  Carlin will spend the Spring 2012 semester in Vladimir as part of the ACTR program.

Meghan McCall, the daughter of Laura and David McCall from West Des Moines, is a Russian studies, German and political science major at Luther. She is a 2008 graduate of Valley High School.  McCall spent the Fall 2011 semester studying Russian in Vladimir, Russia, with the American Council of Teachers of Russian program.
