Short Street property tax assessments approved

Work continues on starting the Short Street reconstruction project.

The Decorah City Council Tuesday night approved almost $104,000 in property tax assessments for neighboring property owners for the project.  The rest of the $3 million project will come from a city bond issue and other city tax funds.

Also Tuesday night, City Engineer Lindsay Erdman said he is hoping bids on the project can be opened in mid-April.
