Winneshiek County will be receiving around $600,000 in federal funds to help with the Cattle Creek Road bridge project.
Supervisors on Monday approved the federal aid agreement for the bridge, which will cover 80 percent of the construction cost. However, County Engineer Lee Bjerke noted that because the approaches to the bridge might also need work, the &750,000 bridge project might actually wind up costing just under $1 million.
The bridge remains open, but is posted for a three ton load limit.
