Decorah School Board approves roofing contract

The Decorah Community School Board has approved a bid from Service Roofing Company of Waterloo for replacement of the Carrie Lee roof. The bid of $29,453 was about $35,000 lower than any of the other bids.

In other related action the board deferred action on bids for the West Side School roof. Service Roofing would have been the apparent low bidder, but had submitted the bid without fully meeting bid specifications. The board intends to rebid that project in six months.
