Two Decorah HS students named semi-finalists at Dorian Vocal Music Festival

Around 1,200 high school juniors and seniors from nearly 300 Midwestern schools participated in last weekend's 2012 Luther College Dorian Vocal Festival.

Each year  a solo competition is held to select individuals to perform at the Grand Concert. Of the 300 students competing, two Decorah High School vocalists advanced to the semi-final round. Junior Hans Holkesvik, son of Bob and Molly Holkesvik, and senior Isabela Rosales, daughter of Elisabeth Rosales and Raymundo Rosales, were two of the 21 singers selected as semi-finalists.
