Gundersen Lutheran--Decorah Clinic receives Fit Friendly Workplace Award

The Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic has been awarded the American Heart Association's "Start! Fit Friendly Platinum Award" for efforts in keeping their employees healthy.

Gundersen Lutheran--Decorah Clinic received the award because it offers employees physical activity options at work, has healthy eating options and promotes a wellness culture.

"As a healthcare organization, it is important for us to lead by example and show other businesses that it is possible to create a culture of wellness," said Gundersen Lutheran – Decorah Clinic manager Trudy Belay.  "We strive to keep our employees healthy by offering employee activity challenges, wellness programs, smoking cessation classes for those looking to quit smoking and discounts to area fitness facilities."
