New sign helps County Health Department to get its message across

If you've driven down Montgomery Street in Decorah recently, you probably noticed a new electronic sign parked in front of the Smith Building.

The sign belongs to the Winneshiek County Public Health Nursing Service.  It used grant money to purchase the electronic sign, which is located on a moveable trailer.

County Health Nurse Krista Vanden Brink says the sign will be especially useful when county nurses are holding an event away from the offices, such as a flu clinic.  She says previous flu clinics had problems with visibility--an issue that should be solved by the moveable sign.

Currently, the sign is posting a variety of health-related messages.
