Bradish Scholarship recipient named

Decorah High School has named Jonathon Winter as the recipient of the 2011-2012 Norman Bradish Scholarship.

The large scholarship is given to a male Decorah HS senior who possesses high academic ability and displays high standards of character.  The recipient must attend a non-religious college outside of Iowa and must remain unmarried until finishing his degree.

Jonathon has not finalized his plans for attending college, but says he is interested in attending either Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin or Oberlin College and Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio.

Jonathon has been active in Orchestra and Concert Choir at Decorah High School.  He plans to pursue a Bachelor of Music Degree in Violin Performance and Art History.

Jonathon is the son of Rich and Amy Winter of Decorah.
