A series of eight video sessions by Luther Emeritus Professor of Religion Richard Simon Hanson is being released this week.

Entitled "How the Bible Happened," this series of filmed presentations by Dr. Hanson illuminates the history and formation of the Bible.

In eight sessions recorded in Decorah and hosted by the Northeast Iowa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Dr. Hanson reveals the Old and New Testaments with an energy and knowledge that will captivate people of all levels of interest--those with little exposure to the Bible to those who have studied it intensely.

The eight DVD package, available for purchase at Dragonfly Books, also can be checked out from the Decorah Public Library.  Any proceeds from the sale of "How the Bible Happened" will go to fund religious education for youth at NEIUUF.
