November was warmer than usual in Decorah

Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz says temperatures in Decorah in November were 4.5 degrees warmer than normal.

Bernatz says temperatures averaged 39.5 degrees--that's warmer than all but 15 of the 117 years for which temperatures have been recorded in Decorah.

After reaching 67 degrees on November 1st and 2nd, the temperature fell to a low of 12 degrees on November 30th.

Bernatz says Decorah recorded 1.83 inches of precipitation in November--with more than half of that coming on November 9th.  Rainfall totals were near normal for the month, with precipitation for the past 12 months also being near normal.
