Ask Mr. Answer Person: "It would be nice to have the courthouse eagles refurbished"

Jeff e-mails: "Now that the (Winneshiek County) courthouse clock is running again, it would be nice to have the courthouse eagles refurbished also."

Mr. Answer Person says: "This sounds like a reasonable suggestion.  However, courthouse officials tell me it's not as reasonable as it seems at first glance.
The eagles are coated with very thin copper.  If you would clean them, they could be destroyed.  Courthouse officials say it would be best to leave the eagle statues the way they are.
