"Christmas at Luther" performances begin Thursday; run through this weekend

"Christmas at Luther" concerts will be presented Thursday through Sunday in the Luther College Center for Faith and Life.  Each year, more than 8,000 people attend the Christmas performances on the Luther campus.

This year's theme is "Journey to the Light."  It's the 30th annual "Christmas at Luther" concerts, featuring more than 600 student musicians in the Luther choirs and instrumental ensembles.

The concert will include performances by Nordic Choir under the direction of Allen Hightower, Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Daniel Baldwin, Cantorei under the direction of Linda Martin, Cathedral Choir and Aurora under the direction of Sandra Peter, Collegiate Chorale and Norsemen under the direction of Timothy Peter, and Luther Ringers under the direction of Gregory Peterson.  The organist is Gregory Peterson, while the narrator is Ann Sponberg Peterson.

All tickets for the 2011 "Christmas at Luther" performances have been sold.
