Ask Mr. Answer Person: "Will the real estate for sale sign near the Trout Run Trail bridge be coming down soon?"

Paul e-mails: "Mr. Answer Person,  Every time I drive by the intersection of (highways) 9 and 52, I notice that the sign advertising commercial real estate for sale is still up.  The sign is clearly on city property...but the sign remains there as an eyesore.  I noticed the bulldozers even went so far as to WORK AROUND IT when putting on the finishing touches this fall.  What gives?"

Mr. Answer Person says: "The good news, Paul, is that the real estate signs are coming down--eventually.  The not-so-good news is that they might stay up until springtime, when the bridge construction kicks into high gear.

You are right in saying the sign is on city-owned property.  In fact, it's not just the sign that is coming down--city officials say part of the agreement with the property seller was that the former Ronan home nearby will also be torn down.  Again, look for these changes when warmer weather returns in the spring--not during the winter.
