Decorah students do well at State Special Olympics Bowling

All eight Decorah students who participated in the recent Special Olympics Iowa state bowling competition placed seventh or higher.

All eight athletes had earned blue ribbons at the area competition held in Waterloo in October to advance to the state competition in Des Moines.

Dakota Whalen, Toby Engelhardt and Annabelle Gonzalez has first place finishes.  Shane Boos and John Marken had second place finishes.  Scott Zafft finished in 4th place, Tony Spilde in 6th place and Anna Marken in 7th place.
