Decorah Public Library has begun offering a Wednesday evening story time.
The program runs from 6:15 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and is intended for children 3 to 5 years old.
The Wednesday evening program gives parents who work during the day an opportunity to attend library story time with their children.
In addition to Wednesday evening, Toddle Time is offered Mondays from 10:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. for children up to 3 years old and their parents or caregivers. Another session of Story Time is offered from 10:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Tuesdays for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers.
Story Time includes stories, songs, movement activities, a puppet show and a preschool work of art. Story times at the library can develop early literacy and social skills while developing a love of books. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to stay for these free programs for children.
