Northeast Iowa Tourism Groups launches new website to promote regional tourism

The Northeast Iowa Tourism Association has launched a new website to encourage people to visit the region.

www.visitiowa.org will promote tourism in Allamakee, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties.  The website features detailed information and photos on the region's history and museums, arts and culture, shopping, outdoor recreation, nightlife, food and drink, local foods, festivals and events, traveler services as well as video tours.

Each of the seven counties contributed financially to the website project. Additional funding was secured through an Iowa Community Cultural Grant from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs which was administered by Northeast Iowa RC&D.
