Chase Community Giving, the non-profit foundation arm of JP Morgan Chase & Co., has announced that two Decorah non-profit organizations will receive $25,000 as part of its latest round of community giving.
Chase is awarding $3 million nationally in a campaign where people vote for their favorite small nonprofit organization.
The Raptor Resource Project finished 18th, while the Friends of the Decorah Fish Hatchery finished in 43rd. Both groups will win $25,000.
Raptor Resource Project will use the money for its eagle cam and other programs. Friends of the Decorah Fish Hatchery will use its money to help pay for a visitor center and modern restroom near the hatchery.
Altogether, Chase Community Giving handed out $3 million on Wednesday, with the winner of the on-line voting receiving $250,000, the second place finisher receiving $100,000 and 98 other non-profit groups each receiving $25,000.
