Work has begun on the Trout Run Trail Highway 9 bridge

Work has already begun on the Trout Run Trail bridge over Highway 9.

Cramer and Assoc. from Des Moines will be paid $1,794,219.58 to build the bridge.  But the contract comes with a deadline of June 30th, 2012, so work has already begun.  City Engineer Lindsay Erdman says construction work this winter will be limited to pile driving and abutment work that will be less affected by weather than other aspects of the project.

Cramer and Assoc. already has equipment at the Highway 9 construction site.
